Red Markets is a game where a zombie apocalypse has overrun half of the USA. Trapped in the zombie infested “Loss”, players strive to earn enough money to buy an escape for themselves and their families. It won’t be easy; while zombies are an ever present threat, when survival is on the line nothing is more dangerous than other human beings.
Billed as “A Game of Economic Horror”, the system emphasizes the economic cost of all the players’ decisions, forcing hard choices. Do you skip buying new ammunition for your rifle, or do you tell your spouse and children to try and get by on inadequate rations? Red Markets is in many ways a unique system and setting, and might be a breath of fresh air for some players.
